About Me

Mortar and Pestle and the Dusty Bits.

I could speak here about my beloved children, adoring partner, this simple-beautiful life in Washington State, my education or my professional career. I could attempt to share the holiness of my spiritual life and how it has consumed the mundane and profane, turning it into a temple of gratitude and light.

If I could take all of those words and their meaning and ground them down with a symbolic mortar and pestle, push and press and smash them into a fine powder revealing their essence, what might result?

A simple mash; chunks of glee, tiny grains of luminous gratitude, resilience and an unearned peace that holds all of it.

That is what I am attempting to express artistically. That is what each mark is holding. And I hope you hear, feel, and encounter this when you are met by this work. And I wish for you, the fulfillment of your deepest and most sincere life.
